Adam Sterling: Azerbaijan can rely on U.S. as a friendly and partner country - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Baku. Victoria Dementieva-APA. U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan today celebrated National Holiday - Independence Day of United States of America.

According to APA, U.S. Charge dâ€™Affaires in Azerbaijan Adam Sterling noted in his speech that Azerbaijan can rely on U.S. as a friendly and partner countries.

Azerbaijani Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov who participated in the gala evening said that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to relations with the United States.

According to him since the opening of the U.S. embassy in Baku between the two countries signed 68 agreements.

Sharifov noted that the elimination of the Jackson-Vanek amended by U.S. Congress would be a further expansion of bilateral relations.

The Minister recalled that the U.S. is one of the member of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries.

Azerbaijani Minster of Finance expressed hope that the U.S. continue to make efforts to resolve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
