Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri to visit Azerbaijan July 23

Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzadeh – APA. A large delegation led by Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri is expected to visit Azerbaijan on July 23. Azerbaijan-Georgia intergovernmental commission will hold a meeting on that day, APA’s Georgian bureau reports. Spokesman for the Prime Minister Nikoloz Mchedlishvili told APA that the commission will discuss the acceleration of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway construction, as well as gas supply to Georgia, establishing the working group on strengthening of transit potential between the two countries, construction of Baku-Rustavi autobahn and 500-kV power line.

The spokesman said several ministers and deputy ministers would be in the Georgian delegation. He said Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri would meet with his Azerbaijani counterpart Arthur Rasizadeh following the intergovernmental commission’s meeting. Gilauri is also expected to meet with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
