Elmar Mammadyarov attends OSCE informal meeting in Almaty

He has already attended the event on security challenges on Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian space on Friday, APA correspondent reports from Almaty.

Foreign ministers from 35 countries and deputy foreign ministers from 15 countries, as well as representatives of NATO and the Council of Europe arrived in Kazakhstan attend the OSCE meeting. EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton is also in Almaty. Armenian foreign minister Edward Nalbandian, Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner and US deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg are also attending the ministerial meeting.

Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers will meet in Almaty on Saturday. The foreign ministers of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries, as well as the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Kanat Saudabayev will join the meeting. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov is expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings within the event.
