OSCE foreign ministers hold informal meeting in Almaty

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and OSCE Chairman-in-Office Kanat Saudabayev held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Ukraine, Belarus, Israel, Macedonia and Cyprus, as well as the OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, APA correspondent reports from Kazakhstan.

Brichambaut and Director of the Central Asian Regional Information-Coordination Center for Combating Illicit Drug Traffic Bersultan Sersekov signed an agreement on cooperation.

Then Saudabayev held an OSCE troika meeting with his predecessor Greek foreign minister Dimitris Droutsas and successor Lithuanian foreign ministers Andronius Azubalis.

Saudabayev is planning to meet with the US Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg, French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton on Friday.

The ministerial meeting will be started on July 17.
