Former Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkey meets with incumbent and former leaders of this country

Baku - APA. Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkey Zakir Hashimov met with several governmental and statespersons of Turkey, press service of the embassy told APA. The ambassador met with IX and X presidents of Turkey Suleyman Demiral and Ahmad Nejdat Sezer, as well as with Deputy Prime Minister Bulend Arinch and President Abdulla Gul. The importance of existing friendly relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan was noted during meetings. It was expressed that these relations would be continued basing on the expression “One nation, two statesâ€. The ambassador Hashimov thanked the opposite side for support and help in the development of relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan shown during his activity in Turkey. They promised to continue giving necessary help in the development of bilateral relations and ties in future. They asked the ambassador to convey greetings to President Ilham Aliyev and wished success in his responsible and honorable activity.
