APA reports quoting Turkey’s Cihan News Agency (CHA) as saying that Ahmet Kara reminded that protocols signed between Turkey and Armenia would come into force after their ratification. “The documents have not been ratified yet and it is not clear when it will take place. The ministry asked us how long it will take to open Dogukapi checkpoint and roads if the borders are opened. We don’t conduct any work in Dogukapi now. If Turkey and Armenia reach understandings, Dogukapi can be opened during a month. As we know roads on the Armenian side are in poor condition”.

Kara said they would report to the ministry after relevant investigation. “We will send technical group to the border and they will calculate resources necessary for that process. Of course, we have to gratify Azerbaijanis as well because in early talks there was condition about withdrawal of Armenian troops from the occupied lands of Azerbaijan. If the borders are opened on this condition we will be happy”.
