Azerbaijani Parliament to protest US

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. Azerbaijani Parliament will protest US Congress decision to allocate financial aid to Nagorno Karabakh, Chairman of the Security and Defense Committee of the Parliament Zahid Oruj told APA. The lawmaker said this process, which is going on for decades, caused fair dissatisfaction. He said the financial aid allocated by the US Congress to Nagorno Karabakh wasnâ€™t used for its intended purpose and increased uncontrollability of a military junta established there.

Oruj said on the other hand US allocations for Nagorno Karabakh were contradictory to the mediatory mission of this country. â€œWe will raise the issue at the parliament and demand stopping US support to Nagorno Karabakh because these developments negatively impact on the solution to the conflictâ€.

US House of Representatives and Senate approved package of economic support to Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh in 2010, which considers 41 million dollars of aid for Armenia and 8 million dollars for Nagorno Karabakh.

Nagorno Karabakh is an occupied region of Azerbaijan and there is a separatist regime, which declared its independence, there.
