Azerbaijani President receives EU Troika

Baku â€“ APA. On July 20, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden Carl Bildt. The Presidentâ€™s press service told APA that the sides expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between the two countries and stressed the significance of deepening these ties. It was noted that Swedish Foreign Ministerâ€™s visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to further strengthening of cooperation between two countries.

Further, President Ilham Aliyev received EU Troika delegation headed by Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden Carl Bildt. The head of state was satisfied with level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union and added the â€œEastern Partnershipâ€ program would serve for further deepening of this cooperation.

The chief delegate, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden Carl Bildt emphasized that the EU was very interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan. Carl Bildt stated that the European Union was closely following the negotiation process conducted in the direction of peaceful solution to Armenia â€“ Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno Karabakh.
