Latvian President to visit Azerbaijan on August 9 - <font color=red>UPDATED</font>

Several documents on the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Latvia expected to be signed during the visit which will last until August 13. The ambassador said it would be very important visit. He said ministers of foreign affairs, economy, agriculture and other officials would accompany the Latvian President during the visit. â€œVery large business delegation will accompany the president and they will attend the business forum and sign agreementsâ€.
Zulfugarov said the Baltic countries had very friendly and strategic partnership policy toward Azerbaijan. â€œIt is important for us that they are members of the European Union and NATO. Traditional European countries sometimes donâ€™t understand the processes in the post-soviet space. But the countries which have same history better understand the problems of each other and they understand that better and defend our position in the international organizationsâ€.
