The intergovernmental agreement on the Nabucco natural gas pipeline project, which has great energy security importance for both Turkey and Europe, will be signed on July 13, 2009 in Ankara, said the statement.
Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Austria will sign the intergovernmental agreement on the project.
The producer, customer and transit countries will hold their summit in Ankara on July 13. They will discuss the gas procurement of the producer countries and other projects to be carried out within this framework.
Azerbaijan has also been invited to the summit.
