Elmar Mammadyarov receives Afghan ambassador â€“ <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Azerbaijan Mohammad Yahya Marufi, who ends the diplomatic mission, press service of the Azerbaijan foreign ministry told APA. Ambassador Marufi said he ended his mission due to his new appointment as Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization. The ambassador expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its support to his candidacy for this post and said he was leaving the country with good impression. The ambassador thanked for the support and assistance Azerbaijan showed to Afghanistan, as well as support of Azerbaijani foreign ministry for his diplomatic activity in Baku. He said he believed the two countries would develop their useful cooperation. Minister Mammadyarov congratulated the ambassador on his new appointment and wished him success. The minister called Afghanistan as a friendly country for Azerbaijan and said Azerbaijan would continue its support to Afghanistan further.
