Prince Andrew, Duke of York arrives in Azerbaijan for official visit

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. UK Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, Prince Andrew Albert Christian Edward, Duke of York, arrived in Azerbaijan on Tuesday for official visit, the British embassy told APA. The Duke of York attended the opening ceremony of the 16th Oil and Gas Exhibition in Baku.

President Ilham Aliyev will receive the Duke of York within his two-day visit. Prince Andrew will meet with the president of Azerbaijan State Oil Company, chairpersons of the Central and International Banks. He will get information about the opportunities of British companies in both oil and non-oil sectors of Azerbaijan. On Wednesday, the Duke of York will visit Bakeletrikshebeke Company and will attend the presentation of Ampy Metering Brand of British Landis+Gyr Group.

Landis+Gyr is a world leading company in the field of advanced metering infrastructure. Bakelectrikshebeke became one of the biggest clients of Landis+Gyr purchasing 300 000 meters over the past two years.
