Azerbaijani and Turkish foreign ministries hold consultations

Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. Azerbaijani and Turkish foreign ministries held sixth regular consultations on the consular affairs on May 25026 in Baku. Before the consultations, the delegations visited Heydar Aliyev’s memorial at the Alley of Honor and the graves at the Alley of Martyrs where the martyrs for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan were buried, press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan told APA.

Legal status of the citizens of both countries living in Azerbaijan and Turkey, their problems, particularly the problems of Azerbaijanis living in Turkey during their deportation, visa issues, joint struggle against human trafficking, recognition of estate in real property of Azerbaijani citizens in Turkey and domicile registration of the Turkish citizens living in Azerbaijan were discussed during the consultations. Officials of the interior, justice and social protection ministries of both countries, as well as border, migration and customs officials attended the consultations.

Chiefs of the consular sections of the Azerbaijani and Turkish foreign ministries Nadir Huseynov and Kemal Gur headed the delegations. A protocol of intention was signed at the end of the consultations.

The previous consular consultations were held in 2006 in Ankara.
