CIS Prime Ministers’ Council cannot sign all documents – <font color=red> PHOTOSESSION </font>

The heads of governments discussed 18 issues, APA Central Asian bureau reports. Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov at the meeting. Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov told APA CIS regular meetings play an important role in resolving the number of common issues during the global crisis. He said they signed documents about the education, humanitarian and economic cooperation, and migrants. The discussion of draft agreement on cooperation for investigation of CIS plane crashes was delayed until the next meeting.

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev received the CIS head of governments arrived in Astana for the CIS Prime Ministers’ Council meeting. He called on CIS countries to assist the building of Astana City. The president said the economic crisis caused the increase of crimes and emphasized the importance of intensifying the operational measures for prevention of drug trafficking from Afghanistan and using of mobile Roentgen facilities.

CIS Prime Minister’s Council will hold its next meeting in Yalta, Ukraine in November, 2009.
