Elmar Mammadyarov receives U.S. European Command Chief General Bantz Craddock

Baku â€“ APA. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov received the U.S. European Command Chief General Bantz J. Craddock, press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA. General Craddock said he was in Azerbaijan for the first time in 2003 and has seen great changes since than. He said Azerbaijan and the United States had useful cooperation within the bilateral relations and highly appreciated the Azerbaijanâ€™s support of operations in Afghanistan. Minister Mammadyarov said the development observed in Baku was a part of the countrywide process. He said Azerbaijan was always ready to contribute to the global security and stability. He focused attention on the establishing peace in the South Caucasus and said Armeniaâ€™s aggression against Azerbaijan was biggest threat to the peace. He emphasized the importance of the soonest solution to the conflict within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Other issues of mutual interests, including bilateral, regional and international issues were discussed at the meeting.
