Azerbaijani President: The meeting with Turkish Prime Minister left no doubts

To the question of Turkish journalist â€œYou said in Brussels that you wanted a simple answer to the simple question whether Turkey-Armenia roadmap covered Nagorno Karabakh problem. Did you get an answer to your question?â€ Ilham Aliyev said:
â€œThe word of my brother, respectable Prime Minister is the best answer to this question. No other answer can be opener. I am grateful for both the question and the answer. It is no secret that Azerbaijani society has recently worried over the issue. But the most important thing is that there are no doubts, speculations any more. Turkeyâ€™s Prime Minister, President clarified this issue several times.â€

Another Turkish journalist wanted to know what factor caused doubts in Azerbaijan with respect to Turkey, he asked about improvement of Azerbaijan-Russia relations and changes in Azerbaijanâ€™s policy. Ilham Aliyev said from February Armenian media began to write about the opening of the borders with Turkey, the claims remained unanswered for a while.
â€œMaybe this was the first cause of the doubts in Azerbaijan following this, senior officials of various countries approached to the normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations as already a real fact and this of course caused some doubts in Azerbaijan. But unequivocal statements of Turkish Prime Minister and President in April put an end to these doubts. This is already a history,â€ he said.

To the question about Russia, Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan had normal friendly relations with all countries.
â€œThe relations with Russia have a great history and these relations are very important for both countries. Russian President Mr. Medvedev made one of his first foreign visits to Azerbaijan and agreement on friendship and strategic cooperation was signed during the visit. This is of great political importance. We have close relations with Russia and there is no need to take any extra steps,â€ he said.
