EU’s Eastern Partnership summit kicks off in Prague

APA’s special correspondent in Prague reports that along with heads of states and governments of the EU member countries, leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine – the countries to join the Eastern Partnership program joined the event. Commissioner responsible for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana and other EU high-ranking officials attend the summit. An agreement between the European Union and the countries to be joined Eastern Partnership program will be signed at the conclusion of the summit. The European Union will allocate $600 million to the countries of Eastern Partnership program in the initial stage.
