Abdullah Gul to discuss Nagorno Karabakh problem with Deniz Baykal

Ankara – APA. Turkish President Abdullah Gul offered opposition leader Deniz Baykal to have a meeting, APA reports quoting the Hurriyet newspaper. On May 4, officers of the president’s secretariat appealed to Republican People’s Party and said Abdullah Gul wanted to have discussions with Deniz Baykal on domestic and foreign policy issues. Deniz Baykal gave positive answer. The meeting will be held at 18.00 (local time) today. The main theme of discussion will be Turkey’s relations with Azerbaijan and Armenia and solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The parties will also discuss constitutional amendment, sending more soldiers to Afghanistan, U.S. troops’ using the territory of Turkey while leaving Iraq.
