According to APA-Economics, a lot have been done for development, capitalization and increase of financial sustainability of the International Bank of Azerbaijan.
However, shortcomings in bank’s management and investment-credit policy, as well as financing risky investment projects led the bank to face worsening in financial condition, increase of troubled assets and tightening of liquidity. Therefore, it’s needed to the bank’s troubled assets to be managed by another specialized organization.
According to decree, the Ministry of Finance and Central Bank of Azerbaijan are to determine the troubled assets of the International Bank of Azerbaijan within 15 days and take measures for management of these assets by Agrarcredit CJSC Non-Banking Organization.
