One bank director told APA-Economics that the Central Bank was represented by its Director General Rashad Orujov and banks by the chairmen of their boards of directors.
At the meeting, participants discussed the sudden increase in problematic assets of banks after manat’s devaluation and the consolidation process in the baking sector.
It was noted that banks are recommended to assist dollar-indebted customers. Bank directors were also assured that they will be aided.
Orujov recommended banks restructure the loans of dollar-indebted customers, noting that the consolidation process in the banking sector is accelerating.
Furthermore, banks are recommended to put on sale more products with manat and to develop programs of individual development.
