At the meeting of the committee on economic policy, industry and entrepreneurship of Azerbaijani Parliament, committee chairman Ziyad Samadzade said the insurance premiums till 2020 were forecasted to make AZN 1 bln during adoption of Law on “Insurance activity”.
He noted that the insurance premiums will be less than expected: “We had calculated that the premiums will reach AZN 1 bln till 2020. We had chance for that. Insurance premiums will reach AZN 700,000 till 2020”.
MP Vahid Ahmadov said per head insurance premium is less.
Head of State Insurance Control Service Namig Khalilov stressed that the insurance market tripled during past 5 years: “Per head insurance premium exceeds AZN 40, while it was AZN 15 at that time”.
