The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the research and analysis division of The Economist Group, has improved its inflation forecast for Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.
EIU has predicted that the average annual inflation in Azerbaijan will not exceed 5% in 2025-2027.
The Economist expects inflation in Azerbaijan to be 4.5% in 2025, 4.6% in 2026, and 4.7% in 2027. In other words, inflation is predicted to be within the target range of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (4±2%).
Note that the draft budget for 2026 projects average annual inflation in Azerbaijan at 5.4% this year, 4.8% in 2026, 4.5% in 2027, 4.3% in 2028, and 4.2% in 2029.
Recall that in 2024, average annual inflation in Azerbaijan was 2.2%.
