Polish experts to investigate Azerbaijanâ€™s legislation on securities

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The twinning project on Approximation of the legal and regulatory framework for the securities market of Azerbaijan according to the European Union acquis and capacity building for the State Committee for Securities will stimulate the issuers in the country, APA reports.

Head of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (PFSA) Ilona Pieczynska-Czerny said that the project consists of 3 components – improvement of legislation and coordination to European standards; preparation of rules and proposals, organization of seminars; increasing the level of knowledge of investors.

’40 missions are expected to visit Azerbaijan within the framework of the project’s implementation. These visits will investigate the current legislation in the country’, noted Pieczynska.
