"Unemployment rate in Azerbaijan will continue to decline," APA-Economics reports, citing the forecast by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the research and analysis division of The Economist Group.
EIU noted that the unemployment rate in Azerbaijan has remained stable in recent years. Starting from 2025, the unemployment indicator in the country will gradually decrease. Accordingly, in 2025, unemployment is expected to be 5.3%, in 2026 – 5.2%, in 2027 – 4.8%, in 2028 – 4.5%, and in 2029 – 4.4%.
Note that according to the State Statistical Committee, the unemployment rate in Azerbaijan was 5.6% in 2022 and 5.5% in 2023 and 2024.
