The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has identified the countries in the region most affected by U.S. tariffs, APA-Economics reports, citing the EBRD.
Azerbaijan has been noted as one of the countries in the region facing the highest tariff burden on its exports as a result of tariffs imposed by the United States.
It was stated that the high tariff applied to Azerbaijan is mainly related to the country’s aluminum exports to the U.S.
According to the report, the tariff applied to Azerbaijan was 5% in the first half of 2024, and has increased to 16–17% in the first half of this year.
Overall, the average effective tariff rate applied to goods exported from EBRD regions to the U.S. increased by 2.7 percentage points in the first half of 2025.
