Between 2021 and 2024, the non-oil sector grew by an average of 6.7% and currently accounts for 68% of the national economy, said Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli during the opening day of the 2nd Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW), APA-Economics reports.
He noted that non-oil exports have nearly doubled in recent years.
The private sector currently generates more than 80% of the GDP. Public debt has decreased to just 6.5% of GDP, which is one of the lowest levels in the world.
