Our main function in ensuring the state's continued role in promoting economic activity is to maintain a stable macroeconomic and fiscal framework, said Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov during his speech at the Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, APA reports.
“In terms of investments, we will increasingly see the application of public-private partnership (PPP) models,” the minister added.
He noted that in such cases, the state not only plays a stabilizing role but also acts to some extent as a developer and even as a co-investor:
“In this context, I would like to point out that we do not shy away from joint investments. There are various mechanisms for this: some are in cooperation with friendly countries, while others operate on a sovereign basis.”
