On September 25, a broad meeting was held at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, chaired by Prime Minister Ali Asadov and attended by members of the Government, dedicated to the “Draft State Budget and Consolidated Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026 and the indicators of the consolidated budget for the following three years” and the “Concept and forecast indicators of the economic and social development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026 and the next three years,” Press Service of the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.
In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the Budget System,” the “Draft State and Consolidated Budgets for 2026 and the indicators of the consolidated budget for the next three years and the socio-economic development forecasts for 2026 and the next three years” were submitted by the relevant authorities to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Those draft documents were discussed at the meeting.
Opening the meeting with an introductory speech, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov provided detailed information on the main indicators of the draft state budget for the next year.
At the meeting, reports were heard from Finance Minister Sahil Babayev on the “Draft state budget and consolidated budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026 and the indicators of the consolidated budget for the following three years,” Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov on the “Concept and forecast indicators of the economic and social development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026 and the next three years,” and Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev on the “Draft budgets of the State Social Protection Fund and the Unemployment Insurance Fund under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population for 2026.”
Afterwards, the Prime Minister drew the attention of the meeting participants to the main tasks and assignments ahead.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a decision was made to submit the projects on the “Draft state budget and consolidated budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026 and the indicators of the consolidated budget for the following three years” and the “Concept and forecast indicators of the economic and social development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026 and the next three years,” together with the documents stipulated in Article 12 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the Budget System,” to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
