The new state program draft for the development of official statistics for 2026–2030 includes the measure of expanding the use of satellite data in the preparation of official statistical indicators, said Deputy Chairman of the State Statistical Committee Vahab Mammadov at the 3rd International Statistics Forum held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that one of the main outcomes of the ongoing reforms is the complete transition of official statistics to an electronic format: “Currently, the collection, processing, and dissemination of data are carried out entirely in digital format. This has significantly reduced paper document circulation, accelerated processes, and increased the accessibility of statistical data for users. Electronic technologies ensure the transparency, convenience, and reliability of the statistical system. The dissemination of data has already shifted from traditional publications and printed compilations to modern digital solutions. These platforms allow users to independently create tables and graphs. Such an approach ensures transparency, ease of use, and makes statistics more accessible to society.”
