Samad Bashirli, Deputy Minister of Economy, stated during a panel discussion at the Azerbaijan International Investment Forum that the country has promoted the industrialization of the non-oil sector through industrial zones, APA-Economics reports.
“Currently, more than 170 enterprises are registered in our industrial zones. Over $4 billion in investment has been made, creating more than 10,000 jobs,” Bashirli said.
He emphasized the importance of creating a favorable environment for industry: “This means a stable macroeconomic environment, a competitive tax system, and simplified customs procedures. However, we understand that to fill the investment gap, we must actively work with foreign direct investments and attract investments to our country.”
