The expansion of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Qatar, promotion of mutual investments and partnership opportunities in the development of strategic sectors were discussed, Ministry of Economy told APA-Economics.
Within the framework of the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum held in Baku under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Nasser Al-Attiyah, Director of Corporate Credits of the Qatar Investment Fund.
The meeting provided information on the economic reforms implemented by Azerbaijan, favorable business environment and investment opportunities, and it was emphasized that the Azerbaijani government attaches special importance to cooperation with foreign investors.

In particular, views were exchanged on joint projects that can be implemented in the infrastructure, financial services, energy and non-oil sectors.
The parties emphasized that deepening mutual cooperation would serve the economic interests of both countries.
