Royal Bank of Baku installs cash-in ATMs

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. Royal Bank of Baku has started to install cash-in ATMs with the functions of cash validation and acceptance across the country.
Farid Hasanov, plastic cards officer of the bank, said they plan to deploy 20 cash-in ATMs next year.
“11 ATMs have already been delivered to Azerbaijan. They are being tested now. After installing them, the number of ATMs in use across the country will reach 46,” he added.
Farid Hasanov noted that the bank intends to install 71 POS-Terminals in 2009, bringing the number of its POS-Terminals to 150.
As of October 1, Royal Bank of Baku’s assets stood at AZN 100.473 million, loan portfolio at AZN 77.160, deposit portfolio at AZN 34.387 million, total capital at AZN 19.412 million and authorized capital at AZN 16.912 million.
At present the bank operates 26 ATMs and 79 POS terminals across the country. Royal Bank of Baku was established by a U.S. citizen in 1993 as OZ Bank which was renamed in 2003.
