Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover riches $52 billion

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover with 137 nations during January-October totaled $51.9 billion, including exports of $46 billion (88.6%) and imports of $5.6 billion (11.4%), said the State Statistical Committee.
The trade surplus was $40.1 billion.
Compared to the same period last year, foreign trade turnover rose 5.6 times, imports rose 33.1% and exports increased by 9.5-fold.
Azerbaijan carried out 53.7% of the trade with the European Union, 6.5% with the CIS countries and 39.8% with other countries.
The country did 59.6% of the trade with Europe, 24.9% with Asia, 15% with Americas, 0.5% with Africa and 0.02% with Oceania.
The country’s main trade partners in imports and exports (81.4%) included Italy, the United States, Israel, India, France, Russia, Spain, the Netherlands, Indonesia, Turkey, the United Kingdom and Chile.
