ERC: Annual inflation in Azerbaijan reaches 7.4%

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-ECONOMICS. Economic Researches Centre has released the results of statistical observation of prices conducted in 10 regions during September, 2012.

ERC says according to results, 1.43%-inflation was observed in Azerbaijan. All goods and service groups rose during previous month. So, the price of food products went up 1.98%, non-food products â€“ 1.31% and service tariffs â€“ 0.09%.

Compared to August, the prices in Baku rose 1.98%, in regions â€“ 0.88%. The food products in Baku went up 2.62%, in regions â€“ 1.36%, non-food products relevantly rose 2.19% and 0.45%, service tariffs â€“ 0.05% and 0.14%.

Calculations indicate that, during 9 months of 2012, the inflation made 4.00% in the country, including in Baku â€“ 6.70% and in regions â€“ 1.34%. During the period, food products rose 6.12%, services â€“ 2.95%, non-food products â€“ 0.49%.

Compared with a year earlier, 7.36%-rise was observed in the country. During the same period, the prices soared 11.1% in Baku, 3.62% - in the regions. The highest inflation was observed in food products (10.84%). Non-food product surged 0.59%, services â€“ 4.59%.
