Azerbaijan to take part in IMF/WB annual meeting

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. On October 9-14, a joint annual meeting of International Monetary Fund and World Bank will be held in Tokyo, Japan, WB’s Azerbaijan-based office told APA.
Bank says, the representatives of IMF and WB member-states will participate in the event and Azerbaijan will be represented by the delegation led by Deputy Minister of Finance Azer Bayramov.
IMF’s and WB’s activity during the past period and plans in the future, influence of global financial crisis on different regions and the situation after crisis, possible impact of weakening economic growth rate on the regions and other issues will be discussed at the meeting.
Note: Annual meeting of IMF and WB is held in one of the member-countries, in three years, other biennial meeting – in Washington. Last meeting was organized in 2009, Istanbul, Turkey.
Azerbaijan has been in membership of IMF since 1995, in cooperation with WB since 1992.
