Thomson Reuters Agency to introduce to Azerbaijan an access to â€œKnowledge Networkâ€ base

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov has met with the delegation led by Thomson Reuters Companyâ€™s Executive Vice-President on scientific researches Keith McGregor.

Ministry says Abbasov noted that, the Knowledge Network of Thomson Reuters, which connected more than 6,500 science centers in 92 countries, played an unexampled role in application of objective rating of world scientists, scientific journals, patent and scientific discoveries, technological and innovation information.

The Minister appreciated representation of Applied and Computational Mathematics magazine in the known network and posting of scientific researches of near 10 Azerbaijani scientists in that network.

In turn, McGregor thanked to Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies for supporting holding the joint scientific conference of Ministries of Communication and Information Technologies and Education, Authorsâ€™ Rights Agency and National Academy of Sciences with Thomson Reuters Company and noted that, this conference would support development of science in Azerbaijan, provide information stream from Azerbaijan to Thomson Reuters base.

Besides, the conditions of agreement on access of Azerbaijan to Knowledge Network were discussed at the meeting.
