Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Saturday that he approved new long-range operations in response to Russian strikes, APA reports.
"We are preparing to expand our long-range capabilities," Zelenskyy said after receiving reports from Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara and Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Mykhailo Drapatyi. He added that Ukraine is also working to mass-produce systems capable of countering jet-powered Shahed drones, saying several solutions have already "proven their effectiveness in real-world operations."
"Together with the Commander-in-Chief, we also identified further priorities for active operations on the front," Zelenskyy said. Earlier, he announced that the Ukrainian military developed a new interceptor drone, which has already been "successfully" deployed.
