Governor of Artvin Kamal Cirit has said Zekeriya Öz’s counterpart Celal Kara too crossed into Armenia from Georgia, APA reports citing Turkish sources.
The Bakırköy Chief Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant on former prosecutors Zekeriya Öz and Celal Kara, accusing them of attempting to overthrow the government forcefully and forming a criminal organization. The governor said both prosecutors have entered Georgia through the Sarp border checkpoint between Turkey and Georgia. They have then gone to Armenia. There was no arrest warrant or ban on leaving the country about the prosecutors when they fled Turkey.
