Turkey aims to eradicate ISIL elements in its borders

APA reports that after one-on-one meeting, an expanded meeting has been held with the participation of servicemen.

The situation in Iraq and Syria was discussed at the meeting.

At the briefing held after the meeting, DavutoÄŸlu noted Turkey-US relations played an important role in critical historical periods. He said the US and Turkey have great economic interests.

Underlining Biden’s visit to Turkey in a very critical period, DavutoÄŸlu noted that serious developments are currently occurring in Syria and Iraq, Ukraine is facing processes which both countries concern about them: “US and Turkey’s sharing same position about the developments around us is of great importance. We determined at our meeting that we share same position against terror. The terror is a crime for Turkey regardless of what it is based on or what country does it target. ISIL, PKK and Al-Nusra terrorist organizations are same for Turkey”.

The Prime Minister said they considered all critical regions on the map while holding discussions about Iraq and Syria. DavutoÄŸlu emphasized Turkey has clearly and obviously announced its cares for national security: “We will take any necessary step against risk factors in connection with our security. Turkey aims to eradicate ISIL elements in its borders”.
