Turkey and Georgia are jointly fighting against all threats against their security, Turkish Ambassador to Georgia Fatma Ceren Yazgan said at a press conference in Tbilisi on Thursday, APA reports.
The envoy said that 55,000 people are suspected of involvement in terrorist activities in Turkey. “We asked all countries to provide data on the persons they suspect of terrorist activities. After 2014, countries began to present the names of suspected terrorists,” she noted.
The Turkish diplomat also commented on the issue of terrorist Akhmet Chatayev eliminated in Georgia.
"As far as I know, Chhatayev had a refugee status in three European countries. The issue of his crossing from Turkey to Georgia is a matter of the security services of the two countries,” she added.
