In a speech to local officials, Erdogan said those who remained silent about the deaths of people in Syria's civil war were now causing uproar over the execution of one person in Saudi Arabia.
“Morse is a president who had come to power with 52 percent of the people’s vote. We turned out to be the only ones speaking. Those who have remained silent about the killing of 400,000 people now are causing uproar over the execution of one person in Saudi Arabia. You are sending every kind of aid to him – to murderous Assad. You will never be able to exonerate,” the newspaper Milliyet cited Erdogan as saying.
“The mischief of denomination has stricken the Islamic world again, putting Muslims against one another. What’s the matter? They seek a war of denominations to erupt among the Muslims so that the Islamic world would collapse within. We do know that the main reason behind what happened in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Lebanon is the mischief of denomination,” added Erdogan.
