Baku-APA. Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said Thursday as he became the chairperson of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), that his country is to build trust and confidence in order to create a positive agenda for the future, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

"I can assure you that Serbia is ready to act as an honest broker in the peace process and utilize the advantage the OSCE offers. Impartiality and transparency is our way," he added.

Reiterating the support for the work of the OSCE special monitoring team to Ukraine, Dacic said the situation in Ukraine posed "a serious threat to the stability of the region and beyond. "

He noted there was room to move away from the status quo in relation to protracted conflicts in the OSCE region and pledged that high-level contacts between the parties will continue.
