Baku. Rufat Ahmadzada – APA. Sanctions are the only way to put pressure on Russia, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in an interview with rbb-Inforadio, APA reports quoting Deutsche Welle.
She said that Russia’s direct participation in the Ukrainian crisis is too obvious and it can not be ignored. At the same time she said that a solution to the conflict by force is impossible.
Merkel noted that the only way to put pressure on Russia is to impose sanctions against it.
“However, it should be noted that as soon as the situation changes the sanctions will be lifted”, she added.
