Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzade – APA. About 10,000 people in Georgia get infected with influenza weekly, Paata Imnadze, the deputy head of the National Center for Control of Diseases and Public Health announced at a press conference Feb. 4.
“Most of the infected do not get complications. Sometimes their conditions worsen, but they recover. And sometimes influenza develops in light of other diseases and results in death,” he said.
Note that, nine people have died of swine flu in Georgia since the beginning of 2016.
