“Azerbaijan would not forgive us that. Gas is a principal issue for Azerbaijan, whose national currency continues to lose value. And Russia is making use of this against Azerbaijan,” he noted.
According to the politician, the fact that Azerbaijan displayed support for Turkey has sent Russia into a rage. And now Russia does not want to forgive it. “Putin is taking revenge and we too have been involved in this effort,” he added.
Tsinsadze also mentioned that Georgia will find itself in a big trouble in case a contract is signed with Gazprom.
“In the case of such a contract, Georgia will lose its role as a transit country and a strategic partner like Azerbaijan. By that means, our chances of diplomatic maneuvers will have been limited.
