Baku-APA. A Turkish soldier was slightly wounded when a military vehicle came under attack in Istanbul's central district of Kagithane, police said Friday, APA reports quoting Anadolu Agency.
An unidentified number of assailants fired at the vehicle with long-barreled weapons from an overpass as a gendarmerie vehicle was driving through the Nurtepe Viaduct, the sources said.
One non-commissioned officer was slightly injured from the broken glass and taken to hospital, they added.
The police have launched an investigation to find the assailants who fled the scene.
