Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan participated at the meeting chaired by the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu, APA reports quoting Turkish media.
Addressing at the meeting, Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu said that the main subject of this meeting is tourism: "Attention to the tourism sector is not only limited with economic reasons. For centuries, we were part of the "Great Silk Road". Tourism will bring closer our countries, speaking the same language, the same culture and traditions," said the Minister.
Turkish Foreign Minister said that though Turkic peoples live in different countries, but are united nation: "Our Board of cooperation is not directed against any country or bloc. Rather, it is the unity of the peoples living a common destiny for centuries. "
The meeting continued behind closed doors.
The 4thsummit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States will begin on June 5.
