“These days, when we are preparing to mark the 100th tragic anniversary of the so-called Armenian Genocide, there is no law in France that will allow punishing the denial of genocide and crimes against humanity, except Holocaust,” she noted.
According to Boyer, it is indispensable to immediately adopt a law and propose a new classification for denial.
Note that though earlier French National Assembly adopted a law on criminalizing the denial of the so-called Armenian genocide on Boyer’s proposal, Constitutional Council of France rejected it considering unconstitutional.
