Baku-APA.Two 16-year-old boys have been detained after a 19-year-old American tourist was robbed at a station in the town of Aalter, located in the Belgian province of East Flanders, local police confirmed Thursday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The two Belgian boys forced the American to buy them two tickets to Antwerp, according to police. At the ticket machine they stole the tourist's wallet and ran off.
The American was left stranded and forced to stay overnight at the station.
Local police were able to detain the muggers a couple of hours after the incident. Both youths have previously been in trouble with the law.
