He spoke of the difficulties Turkey were undergoing at the time the party was established, stressing that the establishment of the AKP in 2001 new hopes began to grow in people and that his party has fulfilled those hopes.

He further called on the people to bring the AKP to power again in the upcoming 1 November elections and to cooperate with the party against terrorism.

“Over the past 14 years, we lifted all the prohibitions in Turkey. The AKP has always represented national unity. We strive for both democracy and public stability. Turkey is capable of fighting both internal traitors and outside enemies. The Republic of Turkey is the state of Turks as well as kurds, Alevis, and Sunnis,” said Davutoglu, adding that they would continue to work harder for the deepening of democracy in Turkey and that the economic crisis will not affect Turkey.

The prime minister also said that the party’s charter will undergo amendments, noting that a council will be created for experienced members to continue benefiting the party.
